Growing Game Nights in the Driftless Region

Over the past few months, Driftless Tabletop has been steadily building something special across the Driftless Region — a welcoming, come‑as‑you‑are space where families, friends, and curious newcomers can gather around the table and discover the joy of play. From our lively evenings at Nate & Ally’s Frozen Treat Creations to our first event at the historic Sobieski Lodge in Winona, each game night has brought new faces, new laughter, and new stories to share.

Our game library continues to grow, and so does the community around it. We’ve seen parents teaching kids their first strategy game, college students jumping into quick party games between classes, and seasoned hobbyists introducing classics like Catan, Ticket to Ride, and Carcassonne to first‑timers. Volunteers have stepped up to teach rules, recommend games, and help everyone find a table that fits their style — whether that’s a fast‑paced card game or a deep, immersive adventure.

As Driftless Tabletop expands, we’re looking ahead to the next chapter: finding additional venues where we can host future game nights. Our goal is to bring accessible, family‑friendly gaming opportunities to more communities throughout the Driftless Region — from La Crosse to Winona and everywhere in between. To do that, we’d love your help.
